WHY SHOULD YOU WEAR A WHITE WEDDING DRESS?

There are many myths about wedding. 

Bride should wear a white wedding dress. But you shouldn't wear a white wedding dress if you're no longer a virgin or if you are married before. 

Nowadays, there are several popular colors for the wedding dresses. The most popular color of wedding dresses today is off white or ivory or in blush/baby pink . 

It is traditionally chosen to wear white to imitate the color of Queen Victoria's dress when she married Albert in 1840. (If you want to know who is Queen Victoria, you might like to watch a movie named after her.)

But prior to that time, it was mentioned in several sites that wedding gowns even before Queen Victoria's era, that wedding dresses are in silver or red.

A funny poem written in the 1800s that describes a bride’s fate that will depend on the color of dress she wears reveal that fate as what they think.

“Married in White, you have chosen right
Married in Grey, you will go far away,
Married in Black, you will wish yourself back,
Married in Red, you will wish yourself dead,
Married in Green, ashamed to be seen,
Married in Blue, you will always be true,
Married in Pearl, you will live in a whirl,
Married in Yellow, ashamed of your fellow,
Married in Brown, you will live in the town,
Married in Pink, your spirit will sink.”

Today, Many brides are creative. They wanted their wedding to be unique or to catch attention or unforgettable. They do it by themes or motif. 

Well, it is your wedding day though, and you can choose whatever dress code and color you would like to wear. As long as you feel comfortable in it. All brides are beautiful on their wedding day. Maybe because the glow and the happiness they feel. No myths can ever destroy a beautiful wedding. What matters most is that you and your groom are happy on your wedding day.
