WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IDEAS

Whether you are celebrating another year of wedded bliss with your spouse or you are commemorating the day you and your significant other started dating, make the day extra special by going on a fun date. You'll have an opportunity to catch up with each other, have a good time and remember why you are so crazy for one another.

The Great Outdoors
If you're a couple who enjoys being in the great outdoors, spend your anniversary doing the things that you love in the wilderness. Ride the rapids while whitewater rafting. Hike through a nature preserve or to the top of a mountain. Go for a bike ride. Canoe on a lake and maybe go fishing. For dinner, have a barbecue in the middle of nature and then pitch a tent and spend a romantic night together under the stars.

Cooking Class
If you and your betrothed enjoy a good meal, but you aren't exactly skilled in the culinary area---or even if you are an expert chef---taking a cooking class together can be a fun way to spend an anniversary. The quality time spent together is the most valuable thing you'll gain; however, you will also pick up some cooking tips that you can use to prepare one another a tasty meal. After the class, put your skills to the test and cook dinner together. Feed each other by candlelight.

Beach Day
If the two of you are beach bums, plan to spend your anniversary engaging in a variety of fun activities at the beach. Go kayaking, snorkeling, jet skiing or parasailing. Build sandcastles, and search for shells, beach glass and buried treasure. Just lie out and soak up the sun together. Pack a picnic lunch and let the beauty of the beach be the backdrop for a romantic meal.

Amusement Park
For the thrill-seeking couple, an anniversary spent at an amusement park is a grand idea. Hold onto one another as you do flips on roller coasters and other amusement park rides. Most parks have entertaining shows---enjoy watching one together while you eat lunch or dinner. Have a caricature drawing done of the two of you to remember the day.

Go for a Drive
Sometimes, the simplest things in life are the most enjoyable. On your anniversary, hop in the car and see where the road takes you. Pull off the path when you find something that interests you---a car show, an antique shop, a museum or even a park where you can swing and take a walk. Stop at a restaurant that catches your eye for lunch or dinner. You don't have to have a destination in mind---the purpose of this anniversary date is to get away from the schedules that often tie up your everyday lives and to enjoy some quality time together.
